About a month ago I was in San Diego for a checkup with my doctor to see how my hand was doing. I had a little free time one day so my girlfriend and I spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. I posted a video of our experience on my blog back in July so if you missed it you can check it out there. Anyways, if you've ever been there before you know that the zoo is huge and if you walk it would take more than a few hours to cover the whole thing. They have one of those things that holds about three to four people, goes about 100 feet in the air, and gives you a great view of the zoo. Most people would gladly take the load off their feet and jump on board, but I'm afraid of heights, so it turned out being a full three minutes of trying not to piss my pants. You always hear, "Just don't look down!" Well that's a bunch of bullshit. I closed my eyes and still couldn't wait to get off the damn thing. The sad thing is, they really don't go that high. I don't know what it is about heights that scares the shit out of me.

When I was younger I wouldn't go in glass elevators, so if my family was staying in a hotel with one, we were taking the stairs. When I go to a mall I don't even like looking over the railing from the 2nd floor. Even if I happened to somehow fall off I'd probably be able to walk away unbroken. You like Ferris wheels? Forget about it! How bout roller coasters? I'll be over at the whack-a-mole or shooting hoops trying to win a giant stuffed Stewie Griffin. You want to go skiing on something other than the bunny slopes? I'll be drinking hot chocolate. Want to take a hot air balloon to view the city? Taxi! Man, being scared of heights sucks. This got me thinking of all the things I'm afraid of and boy are there a lot. Here is a list of just a few.

Heights, spiders, snakes, pretty much any reptile, the dark! Maybe I'm nuts, or maybe a lot of people have similar fears. List your fears below so I don't feel like such a pansy. Thanks!

Before I leave you, I was in the mood to sing so here is my rendition of Burning Up by my favorite group The Jonas Brothers. Enjoy!
