WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Hi guys! How is everyone doing today? Pumped up for the weekend I am sure. Is anybody doing something really exciting and cool this weekend? I don't mean like, "I'm going to visit the relatives on Saturday and then taking the dog to the dog park on Sunday." I mean like, is anyone doing something really cool? Something really creative and way out of the ordinary? If you are, let me know. I am looking for some exciting things to do on my off day coming up in a few days and I would love some new ideas.

Anywho, I made a video below talking about how things have been going with baseball and life in general. I tried to keep the yelling to a minimum, but sometimes it's just hard not to be passionate about some things. I talk a little bit about my newest trip to Walmart, movies, funny voices, and a bunch of other random things. Here are some pictures to help describe what happened while grocery shopping today.

The view after pulling into my parking space.

The carts I once again put nicely into their home.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy watching the video. Also thanks for answering some of my questions!

  1. Matt,

    - It's Walmart, what do you expect?
    - Lakers WIN! Friarhood WINS!
    - Yes I use voices, but I'm not sure everyone has a unique voice.
    - Toy Story 3 was worth the price of admission.

  3. Turn off the TV already!

Stop & Shop! LOL! My grandma goes there in RI.

Robin Hood should have been called "Robin Hood: The Phantom Menace". Avoid "The A-Team".

Get some dry rub seasoning and BBQ sauce from Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous in Memphis for your steaks. It's pricey, but worth it. www.hogsfly.com

  4. Don't even try to pretend that you don't like Twilight! We all know you sleep in a "Team Edward" shirt at night!!

  5. I only use my "I'm kidding" voice, I don't have voices for people; just a voice for others to know that I didn't really go out and kill a prostitute while high on crack.
Kick-Ass was a lot of fun (it might be at a cheap theatre right now).
For the weekend... Geo Caching you go looking for things left by people using your GPS on your phone and solving riddles. Go to the arcade and just play tons of different video games for a couple of hours (pinball too).

  6. Iron Man 2 was a great movie. Definitely worth it to go see, but you need to see the first one beforehand. Jonah Hex, Toy Story 3, and Grownups all look really good too.

As for Walmart, I'll help you spread the word.

Oh, and good work on your videos lately. They've been hilarious!

  7. Matt, do you a book or two to read. Let me know and I'll send you some. Also get a London Broil steak, the day before you want it, buy some sauce and a ziploc bag. Pour the sauce in the bag, put the steak in the bag, shake it up and let the steak marinade for a day. Take it out and cook it. Iron Man 2 was definitely good. Watched I Love You Man the other night and it was funny. Jonah Hex is only 80 minutes long, I'm not paying $10 for that short a movie. Don't do voices when I am telling a story unless the voice is part of the story. We'll be looking for you in Portland soon.

  8. a little secret a friend of mine who a chef taught me about steak is, if you leave your hand limp and gently poke the area in between the thumb and pointer finger, that is what the firmness of a medium rare steak should be. If you close it but dont flex thats a medium steak and if you close it and clench that is a well done one. Its not the extra skin in betweem the fingers its kind of where the thumb conects to the hand, right behind tat part with the extra skin. And also remember the steak will continue to cook after you take it off the grill.

P.S I am from winston-salem north carolina, hope you can come back some time

  9. What up Matt? As far as doing interesting things this weekend, my friends are headed up to the woods and will be playing Magic The Gathering all weekend...I do not recommend this activity however. Also, in order to jump-start your Cart Return Movement, you should make a video of you doing shopping cart trick shots into the return stall (a la the nerf hoop video). Have a good weekend

Yes I use voices for pretty much everyone. The only person I don't have one for is my sister because we sound pretty well the same.

Good movies? Ironman 2 was good, I really want to see A team and Toy Story 3, and The Expendables looks really good too.

As far as cooking steak is concerned, I suppose it depends on how you like to cook. I'd definitely marinate it no matter what, but as far as grilling or broiling there are different steps you have to take. There are a lot of really good cooking websites online, I'd suggest you check them out.

We need to start an official group on facebook or something. The PUSCAWM (Picking Up Shopping Carts At Walmart Movement) needs a unified voice! :D

Can't wait to see your next video!

  11. A good cut of steak is a New york strip sirloin, bone in 1 and 1/4 " thick. But since you like your steak cooked like shoe leather and you douce it in ketchup, save your money and by the cheapest cut available.LOL.
I want to hear more family member voices.
