Today is a big day for both myself and Boston sports. The Bruins played an exciting game this afternoon against the Flyers and won on an overtime goal to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Tonight my Boston Celtics will take on King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. I never like to see a player injured, especially now that I am hurt and can't play for a few months, but if there was ever a time to hope a player might not be playing at 100% now would be it. I hope Lebron wins 10 more MVP's and even a few championships in his career, but if he wouldn't mind taking it easy for the next few games it would be greatly appreciated. I've been walking around the clubhouse ever since Spring Training telling everyone that the C's would beat the Cav's this playoffs, and I don't want to have to listen to everyone for the rest of the season if it doesn't happen. Either way it should be an awesome series.

Below is the few minutes that I appeared on ESPN First Take a few days ago. Thanks again to all that watched.

  1. This had to be your very last guess at a reason you would be on ESPN. Game winning home run, breaking a record, streaks or even saving children from a burning home during 7th inning stretch, all were probably your first guess over, "Getting on ESPN for a funny video we made while bored out of our minds in a hotel room during spring training."

I really wish the interview had happened just minutes after your surgery... funny for the win.

Yeah that post surgery vid is like Daniel at the Dentist.....Is this the real world?
Good work Matt and get back batting ASAP

  3. Hey Matt, We fans don't hear much about what players do while on the DL. Can you give us some insight on what you do to rehab and why in AZ? Who do you want to see in the NBA Finals?
