Hey how is everyone doing? I can't believe January is already almost over. The weather in Boston actually broke the 40 degree mark for the first time in what feels like two months today. I think I saw a few people heading down to the beach to soak up some rays, I'm not kidding. I am heading out for Spring Training in less than three weeks now. I honestly feel like I was just playing baseball a few weeks ago, I don't know where the time goes during the winter.
I decided that I am going to drive my car across country for Spring Training. The trip is a total of about 40 hours. I have five stops along the way so I am hoping that helps make it feel a lot quicker and easier. I'm stopping in a few cities that I have friends in so it will be nice to see a few of my friends that I haven't seen in a while. I decided to drive because I went the last two seasons without a car and it really is a pain in the ass walking everywhere or always trying to find a ride. I had my car in Lake Elsinore and San Antonio and not only was it more convenient but I hit a lot better that year than I have without my car. I could ship my car out, but the last time I did that the company stole all of my belongings that I put in the car and put 800 miles on it. Even though it happened more than two years ago I am still afraid to let any of those companies take my car across country.
Over the last few weeks I have really started to put it into overdrive with my hitting and working out. I have one last push for a few more weeks before the real baseball starts and I am really excited to get things going.
