I hope everyone had a nice New Year's holiday. I was able to enjoy three days doing a baseball camp for young kids in the area. We have received about a foot of snow over the last few days so I have been hanging out at home and watching a lot of movies and TV. Today I got to watch my Patriots lose to the Texans. I don't care so much about the loss because it really doesn't matter all that much, but Wes Welker looked to have torn his knee up which is really sad. Its got to stink working so hard the entire year to make the playoffs, and then a week before they start not being able to go out and help your team. That's the nature of football I guess.

I was wondering what you guys thought about NFL teams sitting players to rest them for the playoffs. I have heard a lot of people from cities all around the country complaining that a team they need to lose is playing a team that is resting players for the playoffs and they think it is unfair for their own team.
First of all, if you're the head coach of a team that has clinched the playoffs and you think that resting some hurt players to get them prepared for the playoffs will give your team the best chance at winning a Super Bowl then rest them. I hate how teams that are fighting for a playoff birth and are 8-7 or 7-8 are complaining that some teams are sitting their players. If you didn't want to be in that situation then you should have won more than 7 or 8 games. That's just how I feel on the subject, what do you think?
