FLU SEASON

Hey what's up guys? I know I haven't added any new posts in quite a while, but I had a rough last few months. A few days after my last post I came down with the flu and missed sixteen games of our season. It was the first time in my baseball career that I have not been able to play in a game because of an illness. Seven of our players were diagnosed with a very bad case of the flu, and we're all put on the Disabled List. We were playing in Reno, Nevada against the Reno Aces, the Triple A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks when I showed up at the ballpark with a temperature of 104 degrees. The team doctor sent me and another player back to the hotel to rest. The next day two more players had temperatures and were also sent home. Before we left Reno we had seven players sick and not able to travel with our team to Salt Lake City, Utah for our next series. We were not allowed to leave our hotel rooms in Reno for six days. We saw the same four walls and ate the same room service food for almost 144 hours. Talk about boring! With the flu season quickly approaching, I would advised getting your flu shots soon. I know from experience, man!
